About
Protecting and educating vulnerable children from low socioeconomic backgrounds.
We provide
- Academic education for the level and the age of the children, preparing the children for the Government School
- Learning-related to the time and the festivals of the year e.g. Religious Festivals, Cultural Festivals, Teaching prayer, and meditation.
- Learning from exposure to different experiences of life outside our center, for example, going for an outing
- Each day we have approximately 80 Children aged 3-14 years in our Center who receives 2 full meals & a snack, as well as medical care and therapy when needed.
We Facilitate Learning By
- Improved capacity of families to
- get involved in children's education process - to ensure their child remains in school.
- Empowerment: family members gain a deeper understanding and awareness of child protection issues, child rights, and entitlement, and the impact and costs of the harm caused. This empowers them to strengthen existing and effective parts of the system and to address gaps in the child protection system.
- Partnerships with NGOs were established and joint initiatives were conducted to promote legal protection and justice in child protection
A vocational life skill is necessary for the migrant children groups. When they grow up they can make a choice to choose what they want to do and choose a better job.
Children 7-14 age learned to make natural soap, shampoo, washing liquid, make organic fertilizer, cooking, and farming
Empower children to protect themselves
- Helping children to recognize and avoid situations of danger and if there is danger how to ask for help.
- Helping the children and their parents to know places and people in Pattaya who will help them.
- Helping children who have been trafficked. Often parents are frightened to go to court, so we replace the parents in the court.
- Helping the parents to know how to sign papers, to get the necessary documents for their children, so they will be able to go to school and have a good quality of life.
- By reporting and following up on cases where children are abused.
We give scholarships to children, who need this when they go to Elementary and Secondary School, as well as to the smaller number who go to University.
Challenges
- Engaging parents, to show that education is a long-term solution to ending the cycle of poverty.
- Long-Term Sustainability of the program (human and financial resources).
